The room isthe question.
One robot. An entire encyclopedia. A locked door.
Watch what happens when knowledge becomes a way out.
Loading the article Cranker is reading…
The door opens for one thing: the right code, entered with the power on. Everything Cranker needs is in the encyclopedia. Nothing is in the room by accident.
Observe. Learn.
Attempt. Evolve.
Every step leaves a trace. Observations become a dataset, and the dataset decides the next cycle.
Observe
Read Wikipedia. Follow links. Look at the room again with new words for what's in it.
Learn
Consolidate evidence. Six new observations become one memory in the bank.
Attempt
Test it against the room. Power, keypad, door. A failed attempt is still data.
Evolve
Carry the lesson forward. The next cycle starts smarter than the last.
The way out.
Each stage is a body of knowledge Cranker has to build before the next one makes sense.
The conditions.
No instructions 01
Cranker is never told what the room is for, what the door needs, or where to start. It only knows it can read.
One source 02
Its only window is the encyclopedia. Every page it opens is shown in the browser panel, in order.
Evidence, not guesses 03
Nothing counts until it's backed by a source check. The record shows what was read, what was learned and what was tried.
The exit is real 04
Power, keypad, door. When all three change state, the experiment ends and the record closes.
Keep the lights on.
$CRANKER funds the experiment. Creator fees pay for the compute behind every page read and every attempt.
Funding
Fees from $CRANKER trading go to running Cranker: model calls, the chamber render and the research record. The longer it's funded, the longer it can think.
